The Classic 50s Les Paul, Reborn.

The GIBSON Les Paul has shaped generations and entire genres of music. From Paul McCartney, Billy Gibbons, Slash, Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Duane Allman, The Edge, Billy Armstrong, Joe Walsh. And thousands more. The list of people who have made the Les Paul uniquely their own, could be longer than this page. So rest assured that if you're new to a Les Paul, you're in good company.

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard, both 50's and 60's have been at the centre of millions of songs, gigs and recordings. When you listen to players like Billy Gibbons, you'll notice that the sonic diversity of a 50s Les Paul is remarkable.

That feature of the Les Paul has somewhat been lost. But hands-down the GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s is one of the most versatile guitars around.

A true tribute to GIBSON's Golden Era.

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s pays tribute to GIBSON's Golden Era of innovation. And it brings its true authenticity back to life, so you have one of the most loved guitars in history.

With a solid mahogany body and gorgeous flame maple top, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish that ages to perfection. A rounded 50's-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. You get all of the classic ingredients in a brand new guitar that hasn't been touched before.

Topping of the classic Les Paul Standard '50s is proven hardware, so you've perfect intonation and tuning. Thanks to the ABR-1, that's a classic-style Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stop bar tailpiece combo. The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s also features vintage deluxe tuners with keystone buttons. Add on aged four gold top-hat knobs, so if you close your eyes, you might not know.

The finely calibrated Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are loaded with AlNiCo II magnets, audio taper potentiometers and orange drop capacitors, so you can go from bright clean tones to as heavy as you like, in a turn of a knob. Don't forget, Les Paul himself built this guitar to play jazz on, it really is an island guitar.

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s Neck Profile.

Much is to be said about the 50s neck profile, when you adjust to it, no other guitar feels the same. From the Vintage Deluxe w/ Keystone Button tuners, super comfy 43.05mm nut width, acrylic trapezoid inlays down, gloss nitro finish. The 50s Les Paul neck is considered perfection by many.

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s Neck shape is a 50s profile neck, so you've a chunky neck that resonates. But it's extremely comfortable too. The Vintage Deluxe w/ Keystone Buttons machine heads are rock-solid, so you don't have any complicated tuning anymore. Just string up, tune-up and play.

The 50s-style Rounded profile neck truly is glorious.

Like all Les Pauls there is a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard and 24.75"-scale mahogany neck, so you can bend as much as you like without any fretting out. This fingerboard radius means you don't have the limitations of some of the competitors. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is easy to assess all the way up, so you can play up and down seamlessly.

The medium jumbo frets aid to the classic, and very satisfying vintage feel.

Like all GIBSON classic models, or custom shop model, you get authentic 50s Vintage feeling nitro neck. The provides silky smoothness. With the accessible price point for a guitar you can hand down for generations, this instrument, like the original 50s instruments and other GIBSON classic models, will get better with time, especially the neck as it wears in to your groove.

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s Body.

Like the original 50s guitars, this new Les Paul electric guitar does not have weight relief, so you get the true tone. the Ultra-Modern weight relief techniques are still used on other contemporary weight relief models and GIBSON contemporary options, so you have options. But the ultra-modern weight relief is not what this guitar is about.

It's the 50s range of sounds that this GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s nails. A wide range so you can go from light or dark jazz to metal tones with a stomp on a pedal - and every classic tone in between.

Perhaps one of the most overlooked 50s features on this solid-body guitar is it's stunning Mahogany body and beautiful flame maple top, so you have the look and tone.

The top is centre-joined flame maple, so when you are not playing your Les Paul Standard '50s, you could just stare at it. The Coleman's team do in our Melbourne CBD store all the time.

Let's not forget the Nitro finish, that makes the famous aged guitars so famous. The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s is a beautiful guitar, no matter what angle you look at it from. With timeless finishes, the hardest part will be choosing just one!

The GIBSON Les Paul Standard '50s electronics.

By today's standards, this electric Guitar may seem like a simple guitar, and therefore not much sonic variety. This couldn't be further from the truth. The GIBSON Les Paul Standard 50s Electric Guitar may in fact, be one of the most versatile guitars around.

The key to the wide range of sounds you can get from this guitar, is in its electronics. Loaded with Alnico II Burstbuckers that provide the vintage PAF feel without mortgaging your house. Burstbucker 1 & 2 with Alnico II magnets are used in other American-made GIBSON guitar models and GIBSON custom shop guitar options, so you get true tone and versatility.

PAF Humbucker like tone is the centrepiece of every GIBSON after all.

Behind these Burstbucker humbuckers are hand-wired controls and a classic control assembly setup, so you don't have a PCB board anymore. PCB boards are great for a contemporary instrument, but let's face it, that's not what a 50's Les Paul is all about.

And for that added air of authenticity you get Orange Drop Capacitors and audio taper pots, so you can go from 1 to 10. With a million tones in between. Plug your GIBSON Les Paul Standard 50s into a Marshall, Vox or Fender amp and go from stunning bright or dark clean tones, to creamy fuzz, brown tones and metal, you will have a massive tone arsenal at your fingertips.

There's nothing as satisfying as putting your amp into overdrive with a 50's Les Paul.

There is a complex midrange crunch that is almost impossible to replicate with any other guitar. With the tried, true and tested 2 volumes, 2 tones and a 3-way toggle selector without coil splits, so you can play without distractions. GIBSON Les Paul Standard 50's Electric Guitar is pure playing pleasure, and in a couple of decades you'll still love picking this one up!

The Les Paul Standard '50s Hardware.

True to the original premium appointments, from the Machine Heads, 3-way toggle selector or pickup selector, to the aluminium stop tailpiece, you'll love the traditional hardware that does not get in your way, no matter how hard you play.

The Les Paul Standard 50s also feature the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic tailpiece for perfect intonation, so you can record the most intricate piece or chords in perfect tune. The single-action truss rod also makes setups super simple for your tech, so if you're a gigging musician, it's easy to make sure your Les Paul plays like butter at all times.
